I had the opportunity to try the Volvo FH 500 and here’s what I think. The safety features are robust, like the lane departure and proximity sensors. They contribute to a more confident drive. However, I found the handling occasionally stiff during quick maneuvers. The cabin comfort is commendable with seating adjustments and effective air control, though a bit tight for extended stays. Overall, it does its job well but isn't without minor areas for improvement.

Got the chance to handle this Volvo FH 500. Some impressive aspects like the dual fuel tank options and wet heat setup for the cabin. Drives smooth on highway curves, stable and consistent. Auxiliary systems, like the coffee machine onboard, add a bit of convenience. However, I noticed slight lag on the adaptive cruise while hilly drives.

So, here’s my take on this truck after spending some significant time behind the wheel. First off, the seat adjustments are extensive, which makes long drives much more bearable. But the sound system? Lacking. You’ll likely end up needing an FM modulator or similar to enjoy any personal playlists. The retarder works effectively, even with heavier loads, although it’s always wise to use brakes cautiously.
