I've been running the FM13 for about two years now, mostly on regional hauls with mixed loads. The cab is comfortable enough, decent visibility and those seats are actually good for my back (which isn't always the case). Controls feel straightforward, not much hunting around for stuff. Only thing that bugs me is the electronics, especially in cold weather, sometimes takes a couple tries to get everything booted. The ride is smooth, doesn't bounce me around even when the roads are bad. Fuel consumption's pretty average, about as expected but nothing impressive. Maintenance is ok, not cheap, but not Volvo's worst either. Had one issue with the AdBlue system, cost me a day in the shop, not very fun honestly.

Been driving Volvo FM13 for years, so here’s my take. Mirrors first - some are aftermarket, not original. One front-side mirror was missing on the cab I used, that’s annoying. The two lower mirrors give a long view so you can see trailers and traffic behind, the top mirror is for the close stuff. Lane changes are workable, but tight spots need extra care. Rear setup handles heavy loads well, feels solid for heavy duty work. Bed/sleeping area is OK but a bit high, you feel more vibration at low speed. Oil looked thick on my truck, engine felt steady. Not perfect, but it keeps going.

It’s my third year with the FM13, mostly city deliveries. It pulls okay, the gear shifts work smooth and the steering feels light, which I like in tight spots. The cab’s not noisy, which is cool since I spend a lot of time waiting. AC works fine even here in summer. I had some minor electrical gremlins, fuses pop now and then, but nothing serious yet. Parts aren’t super cheap but at least it doesn’t break down often. The space inside's enough, could use better storage for all my stuff. Fuel use is on par with other trucks in this size. Not perfect but gets the job done.

So I got to drive the FM13 recently, did some heavy haul with it. That double jabo setup in the back, no complaints there. Feels like it’s built for the proper heavy loads, you feel it when the weight shifts. The rear area looks kind of tall compared to some others, can make loading take a bit longer if you’re working solo. Visibility from the lower mirror is solid, not so much from the upper though, bit too close up for my taste. As for comfort, it ain't exactly soft, but the bed in the back is usable for a nap in between stops. Maintenance hasn’t been much of a headache so far, oil change is just the usual mess. Overall, it’s alright, mostly does what I need.
